An Intriguing Tale Of Being An Owner

Chloe is extremely fussy since this morning.. even threw up a few mins ago.. during lunch. *sigh*.. and here i was planning to go to the store.. and let her da-da take her for the day.
Guess no such luck..??!!??

I’m getting better at staying alone at home with Chloe.. it’s not so bad nor frightening for me.. now.. not tat it’s completely not frightening. But i learned to sit on the floor..and watch some tv.. while playing with Chloe.. leaning against the sofa.. and that helps with my back.
Can’t wait till Chloe can talk.. and understand wat we are saying.. coz’ she is waking up in the middle of the nite.. screaming with pain.. and farting.. and squirming still. Poor baby. Wondering if all the excitment and activities during the day is contributing to the waking up at nite screaming..?

I slept like a pig last nite.. must have been really tired.. didn’t even know what time my spouse brought chloe up to sleep.. nor did i know wat time he fed her .. during her morning feed. I woke up at one point of time.. sounding really pissed.. and saying.. ” wat the hell, you didn’t feed her yet?” in which, he responded .. ” I did so” .. and then i said.. “ok .” and turned around.. and snored again. Christ!! i must be exhausted lately. I do that often these day.
Anyone got time to sell.. ???!!!?? I wanna buy some.

I need more than 24hrs in a day..!! I know i need to go sleep.. but this is my only chance to eat.. and watch a movie.. which i cannot do.. when chloe is asleep.. but ya.. i better go rest.. or else.. i might get sick.. and that’s a boo-boo.

Chloe learnt how to shake a medicine bottle..and listen to it..rattle the first time.. also first time for her.. when she learnt to pop up the little puppy on her own on her bouncer.
At 9 mths and a week old.. she is still cruising.. but trying every now and then .. to stand on her own without holding onto anything.
She is also not allowing me to go anywhere without her.. or vaccum the floor without carrying her. But she slept from 2am right up to 5.30am.. last nite. and went back to bed after a feeding from her da-da .. and work up at 9am again.. and again.. da-da had to get up with her.. coz’ ma-ma’s back was hurting like mad.
Hope our new bed comes soon. Can’t wait.. King Size bed..!!

I’ve never been so happy to come home. Halifax was a really tiring trip.. considering Chloe was really good.. on the road…. better than we expected.
I got my root canal done.. and it doesn’t hurt anymore, so that was good. So hopefully my immune system would come back up again.
And no more so hectic.. trying to get everything done.. and packing to fit everything in the car.
I didn’t get to finish my medical for immigration .. so we might have to go up to Halifax again .. within the next month.. but i’m gonna try doing it in Yarmouth instead. So we’ll see.
This trip .. we spent alot of money on me.. medical and dental.. and the hotel room.. and food for me.. chinese food.. and also eating out everyday.. sushi and arby’s.. and burger king.. and machu wok.. stuff we cannot get over here in yarmouth.
We tried our best to keep very much to Chloe’s eating routine.. but we messed up her sleeping routine.. therefore it is gonna be a few days before she gets back into routine.. and go to bed at 8.30pm – 9.30pm.
I’m really happy to be home.. doing laundry.. and having a place to wash Chloe’s stuff.
It’s good to be home.

It was a very tired day for us.. as Chloe didn’t sleep good last nite.. she woke up at 5.30pm.. and didn’t really go back to sleep right up to 9am.. this morning.. it was really hard on me.. because she refuses to sleep in her crib.. i put her in bed with me.. but i had to keep alert.. in case she rolls off the bed… so i keep awake.. most times.. from 5.30am on.. and we only went to bed.. at 3.30am.. so i only got a total of 2hrs of sleep.
We had invited Mike to come hang out with us.. while I go for my medical.. but ended up late.. because Chloe wouldn’t cooperate and take her nap ..and have her lunch.. so we had to re-schedule for tomorrow morning instead.
We had lunch with Mike late ..after Chloe had all her food.. at Swiss Chalet.. but of course having Chloe with us.. i had to keep her entertain.. all the time we ate… and it was no fun for me.
We then went to Sackville where Microplay is.. and Chloe was sleeping when we arrived.. so i stayed in the car with her.. till she woke up.
Then we headed for Tian Phat to get my chinese food.. in case i can’t get any tomorrow.. depending on how long my medical takes me tomorrow.. i am hoping it’s not gonna be too long.. because i don’t know how we are gonna feed chloe on the road.. since she don’t wanna cooperate when there is distraction.. but we just have to do our very best i guess.
We headed back to Econolodge to feed Chloe her dinner again.. and then left for Halifax Shopping Center with Mike. It was good seeing Mike.. but having him around.. i don’t really get alot of rest.. so it suxs…
I got dinner from Machu Wok again.. because there was really nothing to choose from.. and i didn’t want burger or sandwiches.
After shopping .. we came back.. and i fed chloe again.. some cereal..and waiting for her to get tired.. but she is still cruising all around.
I hope she is gonna sleep soon.. coz’ i am dead tired..and got lots to do.. before sleeping .. like packing up.. and doing her bottles.. and her food.. and stuff.
Oh well.. we’ll have to do our best.. i guess…
It was a very tiring day for us… i hope i don’t have to come back to Halifax for a long time.. too tiring.. and too expensive.

Ok.. an update on my root canal.. i still feel it’s way too ex.. it’s crazy..
Anyhow.. the root canal is not as painful as i remembered it.. when i had my first root canal.. in singapore.. by Dr Delilah… from NTUC Dental in Orchard Road.
When i had my first root canal.. it was so painful.. i was taking painkiller every 3hrs. it was crazy.. and she found out that i was allergic to the filling she put inside my roots.. so i had to go to her husband’s clinic .. in the middle of the nite.. in middle road.. to take out the filling. Therefore when the dentist told me.. i had to do root canal.. i was kinda afraid.. so my verdict is.. it wasn’t bad.. but it’s crazy.. to pay almost 800 bucks.. for a stupid root canal.. that lasted for like an hour. I bet this dentist Dr Brayton definitely makes good money .. money enough to even survive living in Singapore.

Happy that i’m done with my look awaited root canal in halifax.. suxs that it’s 746$.. suxs big time..!!!!
Not really hurting yet.. coz’ my mouth is still frozen.. so will update later….

Well.. we made it to Halifax in good time.. and in one piece.. and chloe was better behaved than we expected.. yehoo..!!
We only made two stops.. and one stop.. had us buying a king size bed for ma-ma.. yahoooo..!!!!!
We got to halifax at about 7pm…left at 1.30pm.. Chloe slept part of the way.. but didn’t get to drink alot of milk.. i think all the excitment.. and new places.. and faces.. and new hotel room.. so she was kinda hyper tonite.. and refuses to have her milk.. or sleep.. till midnite.. and she was sweating like mad.. room must be too hot.. because da-da had the jacuzzi running with hot water.
We didn’t get to do much today.. but it was kinda cool to be in the city. I hope we get some things done .. the next few days.
Da-da is enjoying the jacuzzi now.. i did so already..but got up from the tub earlier.. in case chloe wakes up.. because her crib is way at the other end of the room..by our bed.
Sleep tight Chloe my angel.. you are the best baby any ma-ma can ask for..

I’m a bad ma-ma.. going back to sleep every morning.. while da-da have to wake up with Chloe for more than a week now.. i’m getting spoilt..!! Better not get too used to the waking up late.

It has been really long day for me today.. starting from last nite.. having to look after Chloe on my own.. in my own bedroom without my spouse for the first time .. was kinda scary.. even though he was just in the other room. I left a small light on.. so that I can see Chloe.. and she can see me.. when she wakes up in the middle of the nite.
After 9mths.. chloe still isn’t sleeping well.. last nite.. she was tossing so much.. i was worried that she was gonna wake up a few times.. but she didn’t .. just tossing and turning .. and being uncomfy.. and tonite.. she refuses to go to bed.. till about 11.15pm.. and got up again.. at 12midnite.. and was squirming quite abit.
Today i had to look after chloe at home.. to give my spouse a break.. so he can get some peace at work.. unfortunately.. i think chloe sensed that she is alone with ma-ma.. so she wouldn’t let ma-ma outta her sight.. so it was really hard.. to even get some cooking done and eat some food. She refuses her afternoon nap.. so i didn’t get any food the whole afternoon till my spouse came home with chinese take-out. It wasn’t hard looking after Chloe.. but hard not being able to do anything.. when i am alone with her.
She is very smart now.. and know the meaning of “no” .. like when she was in the kitchen… she knows she ain’t supposed to touch the dirty runner .. so when she dropped something on it.. and she couldn’t move forward to go pick it up.. . she would cry pitifully .. it’s so funny.. to see her … like she wants to pick it up.. but knows that she ain’t supposed to touch the carpet.. so .. she looks up ..at me.. while i was washing the bottles.. and cry. I think our little girl is gonna be one smart chick.
9 months has come and gone too quickly.. i noticed that chloe is figuring us out real quick. She eats like a tweety bird still.. and drinks alot of milk.. and in small portion . .thus making us feed her alot of times a day.. instead of just 4 or 5 times.
But I thank God that she is healthy.. and growing.. so i should be counting my blessings.. instead of hoping for her to be more like some other babies we know.
I hope Chloe stays down for the nite.. and not like last nite. waking up.. and didn’t wanna sleep till 2am… that would sux big time.. coz’ i see daddy getting a little frustrated and i don’t blame him.. been a long day for him too.
So go to bed … chloe.. and sleep tight.

I just remembered that Chloe is already 9 months old today! Boy, time flies.

Slept alone in the guest room last nite with Chloe because of my bad back and this morning have to look after Chloe alone at home.. because her da-da needs to work. I figured it would be easier to look after her at home.. than at the store..since she is so needy at the store.. and there isn’t enough room..or things to keep her occupied.. so i decided i will try taking care of her at home.. so that her da-da can get some rest.. and peace.. hhhaahah!! and i can easily call him home if i absolutely had to.. afterall.. he is the boss.

It’s been raining cats and dogs here.. !! Suxs big time.. !! I had wanted to go get my sandwich maker.. but now i can’t.. suxs..!!
