I Cried
Saturday, December 25th, 2004We just came back from an X’mas party.. of my spouse oldest friend.. Jay… and he made me cry..!!!!
He had a toast.. and he proposed on his knees…. to his g/f .. Jody.. I was .. so .. so happy for Jay.. !!! Congratulation Jay.. Congrats .. Jody..!!! It was the greatest thing i’ve witnessed.. ever since i came to Canada. I was overjoyed.. i cried..!!! i don’t know why.. but i was so happy for both of them.
I’ve known Jay .. from the first day I step into Yarmouth.. and I never thought.. he would ever get married… hehehe!!! Just tat at that time…… Jay wasn’t the settling type.. he was fun.. and witty.. and smart-mouth.. and sometimes to the point of wanting to get a smack .. hehhe!!! But he is afterall.. my spouse’s oldest friend… so like my spouse.. i accepted Jay.. like my spouse did.. just the way he was.
I’ve seen woman come in and outta Jay’s life.. but when Jody came along.. things changed. Jody was good for Jay as far as I can see .. Things changed.. Jay wasn’t so cocky anymore… and more settled.. as if .. he found his soulmate… as if .. he is contented… as if…. there was no need to prove himself anymore. It was as if………… mmmmmmm………. he was happy.. Tat’s all i can say.. he was happy………. And we were happy for him too..
Anyway.. we were happy to witness this joyous occassion… and be part of it..

Half Price Chicken
Friday, December 24th, 2004I had the best half price chicken ever.. today..!! Roasted chicken at half the price at sobeys.. coz’ they were closing for the holidays..
Now . .now.. i’m el cheapo.. but i didn’t sent my spouse to get half price chicken.. but because we were so busy.. we only went grocery shopping at the 11th hour.. !!! i know.. i know.. i’m terrible.. but the store was really busy.. we made like 3K in sales.. and we were closed at 5pm today.. and not our usual 9pm.. but i’m not complaining..
And i did have my lovely chicken.. all cooked.. with shrimp noodles.. and my spouse had his.. with potatoes..
And party away we are going to.. tonite.

They are such nice ppl.. and only say nice things about ppl.. and undemanding.. and so selfless.. and i was telling my spouse the other day.. that i wasn’t wrong about gerald and adele.. from the very beginning.. when i met gerald.
When i first met Gerald.. i knew he would make a good friend… it’s just a feeling deep inside me.. and yes.. after 4yrs.. gerald & adele has turned out to be the best ever ppl we’ve met so far…
Now don’t get me wrong.. it’s not the so many gifts that gerald brings for us . .and our co-workers every year.. and during all occasions.. but it’s because he never have a bad thing to say about anyone.. or anything.. He doesn’t gossips.. he doesn’t swear.. neither does adele of course.. they don’t smoke… they don’t gamble.. they don’t unburden you with their set of responsibilities….. they are just nice.. and like being nice.. And they are hardworking ppl… not like some ppl we know.. who have no qualms … just sitting and doing nothing.. and thinks the whole world owes them a living.
i wish everyone in yarmouth is more like gerald and adele…
