This was my daughter’s sleep schedule for last nite….

Now the times when she was awake….. she must be carried.. and no sitting down.. ok..!! gotta stand up.. and walk her.. if you sit down.. she would scream her head off.

Chloe in summer clothings. It was warm enough to dress her lightly today.

Grammie’s hand knitted socks “wan luen pai” for Chloe. She said she was bored.. so she knitted it..hahha!! Can grammie be very bored everyday please..???

A really warm day today .. only -2 .. almost like spring here today.. and our house is extremely warm.. and i didn’t dress chloe up in pants at home either.. she is in one of her summer clothings… that’s how warm it is right now.

J.. my BA man.. offered to work this Sunday.. since someone was ill. Tat way my spouse and I can get some rest. Isn’t tat nice or wat…???
Well .. i got 7hrs of sleep.. and got another 2 more.. after my spouse got up.. so that’s aplenty.. i must say..
But it’s nice to finally find someone who wants to work.. even though J. is on borrowed time… and someone who isn’t silly or nonsentical… just pure wanting to put in a good day of hard work. So nice.. finally.

My daughter’s first word is “look” .. and today.. she said Ello’ .. using the action of holding a phone… she said ello’… No mammie and da-da.. but “lok” and “ello”.. funny..!!

I just wanna let my fellow bloggers.. and my favourite bloggers.. and my food bloggers.. and other bloggers know that i’m still reading all their post religiously .. but am sometimes so caught up with work.. and Chloe.. that i have no time to comment.. For instant.. i may be reading someone’s blog..and getting ready to comment.. when a customer comes in .. and needs attention.. so i go attend to customer..and when i come back to the computer. .. either someone had already shut down my Netscape.. or had to look for information on the net.. and therefore i forget.. and don’t trackback.. and never comment. Or i read.. and just got too busy .. to comment.
So do not think tat i’ve stopped stalking you .. i’ll be devastated if you think of me that way… heheh!!
And apologise for the no comments of late… no fault of the mind….. but been too.. too busy.

Did i tell you .. i’m getting so good at baking chicken..??? ya.. ya… you are gonna say.. no big deal wat..!!! just chuck the chicken legs into the shake n’ bake thingie.. and dump it into the oven. Nope.. not true..!! i tell you .. you’ve gotta do it just right.. just the right amount of coating..and the right amout in temperature.. and the right amount of baking time.
And i’m happy to announce that i’ve master the art of baking southern baked chicken…hehhehee!!! crazy as it might seems to some… i feel like i’m a good mom and spouse.. if i make wholesome family dinners for them.. with potatoes and carrots too.. of course.. and not the can ones. I know it sounds silly.. but didn’t they say .. the way to a man’s heart is thru’ his stomach.. ???!!!??? hehehe!!! well.. don’t say i didn’t try getting my man’s heart…!

My spouse and i watched Sideways yesterday …. it’s a movie btw. Now the only reason why i had wanted to watched it was because it has my favourite actress in it… guess who..??!!?? hehehe!!! Born to Korean parents in Ottawa, Canada. I adore Sandra Oh!! And apparently Sideways was directed by her spouse - Alexander Payne.
Ok .. enough said about the movie.. heh!! The wonderful name belongs to a Sandra Oh’s daughter .. on screen.. Sienna..! When i heard this name… i went like Wow..!! coz’ not long ago.. i met a proud mummy of a little and gorgeous.. plus smart girl name Sienna online. Wow..! Now Sienna ain’t a common name.. as far as I know.. and for a min.. when watching the movie.. i was trying hard to see if my online pal’s daughter was the same as the one on screen.. silly me i know..!!
But isn’t Sienna a wonderful name..??!!?? So.. ummmmhh.. artistic..!! so refine… ! wat a wonderful name.. Hey.. Min.. yes.. i’m talking about your Sienna.. I love the name.. Sienna..

You would think that owning your own video store means watching all the movies you can get ahold of right..?? Well .. NO! in my case..!! there are so many movies i haven’t watched..!! it is just terrible… !! Customer/s would come up and asked you .. is this or tat movie good..?? and i would say.. urrrh.. sorry.. i haven’t watched it yet.
I do watch quite a few movies.. but the thousands of movies we have in the store.. i have yet to even finish a hundred.
Sad you might say.. ?? Hmmm.. i would say sad.. just tat i would really like to spend more leisure time watching a movie.. and enjoying one.. but at the moment .. there is definitely no time.
With the business.. Chloe.. and the house.. my day is overwhelmed.. i’m grateful for anytime .. i can get away for grocery shopping.. that’s how pathetic.. my time management is.
Oh well.. no perks for now.. i guess.

Some ppl may wanna call it a cooking tip.. but i call it a cooking trick.. heh!! well.. the trick was not originated by moi.. it was from my MIL. We started cooking potatoes and carrots for Chloe .. but we either need to watch it closely.. for fear of boiling water spilling over.. or it runs dry.. and burn those potatoes and carrots and waste all your effort of peeling it.. cutting it to bits… and upset you totally for wasted time.. since you have a young one to feed.
Anyhow.. the trick is to put a little butter into the boiling water.. and wa-la.. no more spill over boiling water.. and no more having to keep tiping the cover up a little.. and watching it closely .. so that the cover donch slip.. and cover the pot up totally.. thus resulting to either a spill or burnt. And no more cleaning up the stove.. and scrubbing pots..! woo-hoo..!!
MILs are GEM..!! Did i tell yer all.. i love my MIL..!!!

The most welcome sight is the smile of a friend.. with 4 bags of chinese food.. Not only did Gerald bring me back chinese food from Halifax.. which included chinese mushrooms.. chinese sausages.. but also lotus roots..!!! .. he also sent me home.. and carried the food back into my house for me..!! Wat a great .. great friend.. this person is..!! I shall always.. always treasure.. my friendship with Gerald and Adele.. Thank you so much Gerald..! Yer the best ..!!! We are totally blessed with your friendship.

Been a total bitch of late.. to my spouse .. but if you know wat i’ve been going thru’… you would understand why… hahah!! And ain’t all woman supposed to be a total bitch once a month..??? And my poor spouse gotta endure all these.. Yes.. i’m a total bitch.. and he is taking it all in stride..?? maybe.. ??? i prolly hurt his feelings when i turn into a psycho bitch.. and i feel so bad.. after i have had one of my explosions coz’ it’s prolly my hormones that is doing all the screaming. But it’s still me that is hurting his feelings right..?? I know i can be real mean.. when i turn into a psycho bitch.. and make everyone feel SMALL..!! tat was wat my spouse said.. he said.. i didn’t need to scream.. or use vulgar language… just the way.. i say things.. makes ppl feel VERY stupid. Wat can i say right..?? i mean if i am upsetted … i just blow out my feelings.. and try not to strangle everyone…. in the meantime.. and i just speak my mind.
Anyhow.. yes.. i’m a total bitch for the last few days.. because i had to go into the store.. as we are short of staffing.. and when i come home.. and things ain’t done.. i kinda get really cranky.. or if i find that things weren’t follow up by my spouse.. at the store.. i get really annoyed.. but .. he has got alot on his mind and hands too.. and i sometimes forget that .. he is human too. I expect my spouse to be a super-dad/spouse and super-businessman.. and that is wrong… i know it.. but i can’t help it..
I know i’m teeeerrible..!! Like i expect him to be able to do everything i do.. when i’m at the store and at home.. which i know may not be possible.. just because. Unfortunately.. i’ve always set my standard real high for myself.. and pride myself for being able to multi-tasks and so expect everyone around me.. to be the same. I’ve had many disappointments with my expectations.. since i came to Canada.. and if i don’t change my attitude.. i know.. i will be heading to psycho ward soon.
Anyway.. i say i’m gonna try hard not to be a psycho bitch to my spouse.. but lets see how long.. i can stay not. Afterall.. i’m an old bird.. and old habits die hard.

Tried to get Chloe the Barbie canopy today at Canadian Tire .. and only one of their employee .. Dennis was very helpful.. trying to help us find it and going outta his way to do it… even offered to go online at home for us.. and get us the product @. When he asked the check out girl about finding it on their system.. she flatly told him.. that she needed the product # .. and cannot help.. with just the name.. Wat the Hell..!!! the name is not enough…??? Ok…. now .. this call for some whipping.. !!! And the worst part of it all was.. she wouldn’t even budge.. nope.. nope sireee..!! no customer service for us.. today for sure.. Disappointing.. but the saving grace is of course .. they have employee like Dennis.. And yes… i’ll still shop in Canadian Tire .. because of employee like Dennis.. but definitely not alot.
Hmmmm.. maybe i should talk to the owner.. since we know him. Prolly.. kekkeke…!! “evil”

I’m collating all chloe’s pic to make a small slide show.. for her.. on her 2nd birthday .. or maybe her dedication day. I had wanted to do it.. during her first birthday.. but was so caught up with so many things … so i didn’t have the time to do it. So hopefully .. with a head start this year.. and a new Picasa program.. i’ll be able to make the slide show come thru’ .. So hang on folks.. i’ll show them to you first..

Doctors are like God here.. it’s harder to see your family doctor than God!
I literally had to lie that my spouse was having a temperature.. in order to get him in to see his family doctor. But of course my spouse wasn’t happy about the lying part but i had to do wat i had to do .. right..?? Can let the man cough for 2 weeks.. and not getting much sleep.
And it worked.. coz’ he got to see his doctor this afternoon. Hah!! i’m always RIGHT..!!! kekekekke!! A woman gotta do .. wat she gotta do right..??!!??

Helping out is wat MIL does best. We are truly blessed that we have a pair of good in-laws .. who are so accommodating and helpful.. whenever we need them.
I love my parents-in-law best.. coz’ we can always count on them.. and they are always very positive.. and understanding. My MIL comes and help often with babysitting Chloe.. so tat we can do some personal stuff and she is here.. if any of our employees is ill. I can’t wish for anyone better.. coz’ they are the best.
I’m sure you’ve heard horror stories about MILs .. especially us Asians.. but my MIL never probes and never insist on doing things her way. She lets me be.. and let me do wat i want.
We used to lived like 2 mins away from my in-laws.. but they never come burging into our house.. unless we invite them to .. or when my FIL comes by early to start a fire in our basement furnace .. so tat our house is warm.. when we get home from the store. Tat’s how good my in-laws are.
Thank God for good in-laws.
