NY Reuben Sandwich. McDonalds has this new Toasted sandwiches.. and i had a NY Reuben last nite.. It was super delicious… .but the coleslaw suxs..
In it was warm, deli-style corned beef with sauerkraut and melted natural Swiss cheese topped with reuben sauce on a toasted rye roll.
$4.99 + tax and $2.00 for a coleslaw and drinks.

Message from Beijing to Chloe. Isn’t this nice and wonderful.. for when Chloe can read and understand.. that there is an Uncle Moe out there..

As promised Chloe’s very first overseas postcard from Beijing. Sorry the pic ain’t so clear. We took the easy way.. and not wanting to hook up the scanner.

Chloe just got up on the box on her own.. while we weren’t looking last nite .. and started playing on the box.. it was so funny..!! I hope that when she becomes a teenager.. and if she is a difficult teenager.. we will remember this moment.. and can still smile at watever we have to face with her.

Chloe received her first postcard from Beijing .. woo hoo..!! And no .. my daughter wouldn’t understand it right now.. but i’m pretty sure.. that in a few years.. she would.. and i’m very sure.. she is gonna enjoy it and learn that.. there are all these ppl from another part of the world… and that the world does not revolve just around Canada..
Thank you very much .. Moe.. the postcard is of the great wall of china.. one of the few wonders in the world… a very nice message was on it for Chloe too.. and i’m delighted with it.. coz’ I’m pretty sure.. chloe would enjoy it even more.. when she is old enough to understand…

My spouse have a different name for Chloe tonite.. instead of big belly baby .. she is now.. buddha belly baby.. heheheheh!! my spouse said.. it’s cuter..

I’m making a trip up to Halifax on my own for my routine check-up at IWK .. with some friends.. who would drive me up.. and send me back home.. unfortunately .. i am pretty much on my own.. till i go back..
Now that would mean that i have the whole evening to myself.. for anything i wanna do.. and a whole hotel room to myself.. a bath-tub to soak in .. if i so desire .. and eat anything i want.. and anywhere.. and anytime … with no worries of having to wake up in the middle of the nite.. and sometimes several times in the nite.. for Chloe… and the whole morning.. at the hospital.. and some shopping time.. for asian groceries.. and then get picked up.. by my friends. BUT..!!! now this is the tricky part.. i’m not really very excited about it.. coz’ i’ll be sleeping alone..and leaving my daughter for 2 full days and a nite..
Motherhood has really changed me.. for someone who have slept in numerous hotel rooms.. on her own…….. and galivanting the town.. on her own… for years…..exploring the city with zest….. i’m no longer keen nor … so carefree anymore. So many things is running thru’ my mind right now…. about my daughter.. about my spouse… about my MIL.. who is coming to help..and the business… since i will be leaving at a time .. where it’s the busiest at the store.. and we have an ill employee who will not be at work for another week or so. But most of all.. i don’t think i can leave my daughter.. for a full day without seeing her sweet little angelic face and smile. Call me crazy… but i can’t..
Oh well.. prolly gotta take a day trip instead.. and endure the shuttle. Bah!

I finally convinced my spouse to cancel fairchild tv subscription for me since i donch have time to watch it now. I have like 40 recorded tapes of cantonese movies from last year.. that i haven’t touched. In between.. Corner Gas, Smallville, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Gilmore girls.. and all the movies we have in the store.. i have no time to watch my chinese soap. So why waste money like $23 per month .. for something i’m not watching.
Anyhow today .. my spouse finally got thru’ to Bell Express Vue.. and had it cancelled.. so i’m happy now.. 23 bucks a month .. can be used for Chloe’s college fund instead.. . And no .. i’m not an el cheapo.. but being smart.
So .. Fairchild.. so long for now.. maybe later..

Been watching this.. for 2 weeks now.. good eats in Hong Kong..! Yums..!
Unfortunately .. i’m unable to provide any details.. coz’ everything is in Cantonese.. so sad.. but i’m sure to try these goodies.. when i’m next in hong kong…

My spouse say yesterday .. that Chloe is a BBB (Big Belly Baby) .. kekekkekek!! so funny..!! ok.. ok. i’m an easily amused woman.. heh!! And yes.. chloe does have a belly.. like her mommie.. heheh!!!

Now.. this don’t look exactly like moi.. heh!! the top part yes.. not the body part.. i’m much.. much fatter.. hehhehe!!! Although i hope to look like tat in the near future.. hahha!! Wishful thinking..???

I had planned to start cooking for Chloe since last week.. but was unable to .. because someone was ill.. and we had to shift and make plans to relieve the others in the store. I really wanna cook for Chloe.. some wholesome food from home.. and not bottled ones.. but the preparation.. is time consuming.. and because chloe still don’t wanna chew her food.. i have to prepare them differently and blend them well.
So for now.. i’ll have to shelf my cooking.. and do it.. when everything goes back to normal. Poor, poor chloe.. and bad, bad mommie..

We had 63cm of snow yesterday. Double wat we had expected. And now of course the cleaning up.. and then more snow expected later this week..! SUXS..!!
My spouse had to shovel 2hrs.. before getting outta our driveway.. and more shovelling at the store.. Suxs…!

Had to shovel our way in .. to get to the staff entrance… to open the store.. and disarm the alarm.

This is how much snow we got.. at the store. Half the front doors were covered with snow. 2 hours of shovelling.

It says it ended.. but it’s still blowing mighty hard over here.. at 6.02am.

An intense low pressure system that brought blizzard conditions to Nova Scotia on Sunday is just south of Cape Breton early Monday morning and is expected to move across eastern Cape Breton this morning and over western Newfoundland tonight. Conditions have improved over southwestern parts of the province over the last few hours and thus the blizzard warning of those regions has been ended. A gradual improvement is expected later today over remaining areas Of Nova Scotia. However driving conditions are likely to remain difficult today especially in the early morning hours even for areas where the blizzard warnings have been ended.

Additionally a storm surge warning has been issued for some northeastern coastal areas as very strong northerly winds persist around the low this afternoon and evening. Those elevated water levels are most likely around St Georges bay Nova Scotia.
