Easily Amused
My daughter Chloe is easily amused.. just like her mummie.. 
Whenever she sees daddy kissing mummie..she is so tickled and amused by it.. but when we ask her to kiss daddy..or get daddy to kiss her.. she turns aside giggling.. hehe!! i think it’s because of daddy’s prickly beard..
When i was a kid.. i’ve never seen my parents kiss each other openly… and i often wonder .. if they had affection in between them..?? I’m glad Chloe’s daddy is an ang moh… coz’ i would hate for my Chloe to grow up.. without any hugs and kisses. Nor share the affection .. that her daddy has for her mummy.
Now donch get me wrong.. i’m sure.. alot of asian men are very affectionate too.. and they will openly show it as well.. and will give loads of hugs and kisses to their children and spouses….. but because i grew up in an environment where my grandparents did not show any affection openly nor did my parents.. or aunties and uncles.. i tend to feel that asians are more conservative in this area.. wherelse the ang mohs are less. So when i say .. i’m glad that Chloe’s daddy is ang moh.. it just means.. that he is less conservative.. than those i know and grew up with.

I couldn’t agree with you more. Yes Caucasians r more open abt their affection compared to Asians. DH doesn’t like to openly show his affection but he sure does in other ways. BTW , my boys feel kind a jeolous when I hold DH hands & will try to remove my hands!

hey mrsT, I totally see what you mean and understand why you feel like you have to explain yrself too. =D In my case, I’ve hesitated venturing into that topic of comparing asian men especially since my guy is really not a typical conservative asian. Maybe it’s the upbringing? Cos asian americans tend to be more open about their affection too.

I donch like to venture into topics like that too.. and i try to be politically safe most times.. but i still kenna flame in my own blog.. in the guestbook signing by some nimkumpuk! who claimed that i am things .. that were so ridiculous.. !!!
