Little Princess is so friendly..and giving wide smiles.. and letting me touch her and all. And even letting me snap away happily .. with my camera phone. And look at princess’s mummy.. donch they look gorgeous..???!!!??

Grocery Store in Yarmouth. No different from back home.

Desserts and Candies.. more desserts..!

Loads of cheese, cookies and bread.

Armed with a receipt .. and 7 packages of opened chinese noodles (nissin) from a local grocery store in town…. i headed towards the customer service dept.

Me : Hi, i’m here to return and exchange these noodles because they did not have any seasoning in them. All 7 packages of it. ” I had another 7 packages for exchanging on the table for her”

Customer Service : “Took a look at the noodles” I’m sorry.. they are opened.. we cannot do anything for you.

Me : Huh????!!!??? If i didn’t open it.. how would i know the seasoning were missing. Can you check if there is anything you can do about it…???

Customer Service : Uhmmm.. yah you are right .. hmmmm..!! “Very reluctantly, she started scanning the noodles and kept looking at the receipt” There is only 4 on the receipt.. i can’t give you a cash refund.

Me : No.. no .. no .. no.. I donch want a refund.. i just want a replacement for my noodles.. i donch want the money at all .. i exclaimed. These opened ones.. for these..???!!!???

Customer Service : “Looked mighty relieved” Oh.. that’s easy then.. you want an exchanged..!!

I can’t believe .. that just happened.. when i left the grocery store… how moronic can a conversation go..????

Ahhh.. all in a day’s work.. for our customer service person in our local grocery store.

During the weekend.. we bought more socks for Chloe.. for we keep missing them around the house.. and some that we bought.. cannot be worn.. because they shrink after the first wash..!! So this time we bought bigger socks.. a size up….. and a pant for Chloe.
We have plenty of pants and jumpers from Gerald/Sarah/Adele but they are still way too big for her to wear at the moment.. while the blouses fit to almost perfection.
Bonus for us.. for chloe’s socks were on sale for 1.99/pair.. .. instead of the usual 3.98. WooT!!! I’ll take picture of them.. as soon as i find time.. or before my spouse sees me.. and think i am crazy again.. ahahha!!!

HunnyBunz’s mom had asked me if i could send maple leaves to Yihang instead of computer games.
And i thought .. that’s easy peasy..

So tonite i asked my FIL to collect some for me.. And guess what my FIL said…. that he would sent Yihang some now.. and collect each kind this fall .. sugar maple , red maple , moose maple , sycamore maple.

Now.. now…!!! this is big news to me.. i didn’t know that there were so MANY different kinds of maple leaves..???!!!???? Now.. when i think of maple leaves.. i think of the different colours only.. and didn’t know.. about the different types. Wow!! leave it to my FIL, Budd .. to be so knowledgeable.. with anything to do with nature..
Cool isn’t it..??? Chloe would be able to learn so much .. from Grampie..!! so lucky.. and so much fun awaits her!!

The Queen is in Town…!! Did you know that the Canadians were British subjects once a upon a time.

I have a very “kelaka” toddler. A few days ago.. we were driving home from the store… for the first few mins of our drive… Chloe was totally quiet.. and all of a sudden.. she started chuckling.. and started making all sorts of blabbering noises.. as if she was having a conversation with us.
So “K E L A K A ” !!!
Her daddy and I didn’t know what to make out of it at all.. but ended up laughing with her. Chloe make us laugh ALOT..!!

I had breakfast cooked for me this morning, some chicken bacon and hash browns. I thought about it.. and realised that my spouse make breakfast for me a few times a week.. and what about me..?? do i make breakfast for him.. ??? nope.. unless you call throwing in a few bacon onto the already hot frying pan.. making him breakfast..hahahha!!
So yep.. can’t beat that.. for a spouse.. making breakfast for me and all. So if i wanna bitch about stuff.. i’ve gotta remember.. that he makes breakfast for me..

Chloe understands what we are telling her .. more than we wanna give her credit for. But this morning when i woke up… i asked Chloe if she wanted to put on her socks.. coz’ daddy had her changed into shorts and no socks .. and it was raining outside. But by no means was the house cold.. just the floor was a wee bit chilly.
And being the “Kiasi” Mum that i am.. i wanted to put some socks onto those cute little feet. Little did i expect it.. but chloe went in search for her socks.. and brought them to me.. and held onto the table.. and lifted her legs one by one.. for me to wear her socks for her.
Too .. too cute.. and too, too smart..!! What a smart pants..!!

I bought some wonderful quiches from the grocery store on saturday.. and they were like 4 bucks for 2. I didn’t take any pics .. coz’ i was G R E E D Y!!
But they were really great ..!! broccoli and cheddar.
I used to love quiche lorraine.. but i love broccoli better now.. if only they donch stuff the stem part into the quiche.
It was pre-baked .. and all i had to do was nuke it for 2 mins.. and yummy..!! Was gonna get some more today.. but it rained the whole freaking weekend till today..!! BUMMER!

We’ve been doing alot more cooking at home than usual.
Like today.. I had flavoured rice – teriyaki but i added the half can of mushroom that was in the fridge from breakfast from a few days ago.
I baked a salmon to go with my rice.. and on top of putting cayenne pepper on it.. i found a leftover bbq sauce from mcdonalds.. and just dumped the bbq sauce on the salmon. It turned out great..! Yums..!!
So these days when i cook or bake.. i think i am doing better.. and i use anything i can get my hands on in the fridge.
I can boldly say .. i’m inspired by my MIL & FIL and the various bloggers who cooked and baked way better than i of course…. and with so much ease. It’s amazing watching my MIL & FIL baked and cooked. My FIL makes his own bread from time to time… can you believe that..!!!!
But i’m learning.. and soon.. i hope i will be brave enough to bake a cake or two.
