Boom Boom Room
I’ve been missing home. Yes.. Singapore I mean. Do you know that back home we have a place call the Boom Boom Room. But you cannot bring “ang moh” to visit Boom Boom Room you know.. because this place can only be understood by us locals .. and of course our malaysian friends from across the border lah.
Singapore’s famous drag queen and stand up comic, Kumar performs there. It is so much fun to watch. I remember going there with my “ang moh” boss from Spain.. and it’s really so funny.. we can die laughing. This “ang moh” boss is different lah.. he spent so much time in Asia.. so he knows all about . .the lahs .. and ahhhs..!
So if you ever visit Singapore hor.. donch forget to visit the Boom, Boom Room .. i hear they are still going strong. I assure you .. i will be there too..!

We had a Boom Boom Room here too about 15 years back, headed by Joanne Kam Po Po. It was very popular but the crowd started thinning out…

my hubby also know this one leh, he every time got holiday, go down singapore. surprise he never got married to singaporean girl. i dont know any ang moh that eat durian and crave century egg leh.

no more boom boom room in sgp. it closed in Jan 2005. there is a fakey spin-off called Bang Bang room in Changi Village.
As of now, Sept 2007, Kumar now co-owns and performs at Gold Dust, Level 2 Orchard Towers.
