I for one cannot wait for the iPhone to arrive in Canada to be only told that we might have to wait longer for the phone to arrive. Looks like they are not even negotiating yet and apparently Europe is gonna have it sooner than I thought.
I would really like to have an iPhone .. because it has got all the features that i have been eyeing on for a long, long time. A revolutionary device they call it. Featuring a rich HTML email client and the most advanced web browser ever on a portable device. Yes.. i had been waiting .. since the day they announced it.

There are just too many baby stuff you can get for a baby but when you buy baby gifts you really have to buy only quality stuff. Why ..?? Because baby’s skin are very sensitive and being a baby, you just cannot pick stuff that are meant for a toddler right..?? And like my grandmother used to say, “you get what you pay for”.
Therefore, when i am selecting a baby gift for a baby shower or even a birthday present, I make sure, I shop for the best, not necessary in terms of being the most expensive but in terms of being a quality gift and a useful one. The Baby Nest Shop has gifts for your newborn to a toddler of 3 yrs old. From baby’s blankie to customized fleece jacket, from baby theme cookie cutter to christening keepsake plate, just to name a few.
Perfectly secure to shop online, shipping to Canada is available, and don’t forget to check out those cute yellow duck candle favors for only $1.25 each.

The Canadian Dollar is at match with the US Dollar as of yesterday. For the first time in 31 yrs, a raise of 62% since 2002. For the Canadians spending their money outta Canada.. of course it is a win-win situation for them… but for those exporting their goods to the south of the border, now that’s gonna hurt big time.
With the Canadian Dollar on the rise, tourism had been slow this year, as like other things that might follow, I see ppl losing jobs and factories closing down .. because we are not selling as much or exporting as much, so what’s gonna happen..?? I’m watching closely .. the market. What do you think..?? will it affect you ..?? wherever you are.. that the US Dollars is at a all – time low..??

My chicken shit neighbour had once told me many years ago, that there is a pedophile down the road where i am staying right now. I am sure he didn’t tell me this for general information, more like telling me why he and his chicken shit wife are so paranoid, enough to want to sue me for taking a innocent picture of their son and putting it up on my blog.
Today on local news, an Annapolis Valley teacher convicted pedophile, is still living in the Valley, and so, they want to declare him as dangerous or long term offender. Here I am wondering.. declaring him dangerous would help with what..?? Creating awareness and teaching your kids about these pedophiles is the most important thing to do and not go about blaming other people for absolutely nothing at all. Sensible parents look out for their kids and not let them ride on the bikes alone with no supervision, sensible parents would not allow their kids to knock from door to door with no supervision to raise funds for their schools. Sensible parents join a neighbourhood watch group and be proactive. They donch go around threatening other parents who meant no harm.

A week or so ago, a chinese man who speaks perfect english walked into our store with his Canadian companion because he saw that we had decorated our store with some chinese decor sent by Gracie from BoChup’s Blog many years ago. She resides in the United States with her American Born Chinese Hubby but the chinese decors were brought back from Singapore when she was visiting her family.
Anyhow, the chinese man from Shanghai said.. to his companion.. ohhh..!! lets go in.. it’s a chinese store.. !! In which i replied.. ” the only CHINESE thing here .. is yours truly” .. muahahhahahaha!!! We talked a little bit more .. and learned that they are from the Valley and the chinese man was originally from Vancouver when he landed in Canada.
So yes.. if you see a store in Nova Scotia.. that has got chinese decor.. please donch assume that they sell chinese things because like our store.. the only chinese thing here.. is ME .

I never really like hot stuff when I was living in Asia. Sure I used to travel alot before coming to Canada but home is Asia for me and the longest that i’ve been out of the country for work is 6 months. Besides that time, I was in Glasgow for 4 yrs but then as a young student, we still have the energy to wake up at 4am in the morning.. and take a bus to London for the day. So chinese food is not too, too far away.
After coming to Canada.. my taste palate seems to have taken a 360 degree turn and i eat everything with chilli. And if i am outta it.. i need my tabasco sauce. It’s a good thing they have it for sale everywhere and anywhere in Nova Scotia otherwise, you prolly would have me pulling out my hair. I cannot explain to you .. why i’ve changed, for someone who wants tomato ketchup in my wanton noodles instead of chilli sauce when I was back home, this change shocks me alot.
But ask PB and my in-laws.. and they would tell you, i need tabasco sauce in my sphagettis and lasagne. But you ask my mum, she’ll tell you that I’m the only one who doesn’t eat hot stuff.

Even though I am in Canada, I cannot help but feel sad for all those died in Sunday’s plane crash in Phuket. 30 died and were so badly burned that they remain unidentified. Now that’s really sad. I’m assuming most of them are tourists.
Everytime I land in Phuket from now on, I would be reminded of those who lost their life at the airport. It’s very sad to me, because here they are happily arriving in destination looking forward to a great holiday.. and then they died, surely how can one expect something like that..?? Just too sad if you ask me.

Extended cellphone use causes hearing loss: study
So they say..! You go ask PB .. how much time i spent with him on the cellphone.. before coming to Canada.. and I haven’t lost my hearing at all. For 6 yrs before we met, we have had been on the phone constantly and any chances we can get.
First they said using cellphones can caused brain tumor .. and as you can see I’m perfectly alright. And I swear I used to use alot of cellphone for work and for chatting with PB. So how true is those studies..?? I think it is just a waste of good money.. !

Owning a business in Nova Scotia sure allows you to meet some funny Americans. For years, they joke about Canadian money and when they buy something from our store, they want American money back or some are even as rude to say they want real money. I am no Canadian, but it still infuriates me when an American talk like that. How ignorant or shallow can they get right..?
On Tuesday, the Canadian Dollar set a 30 yrs high, closing at 98.64 cents US, after investors caught wind of a drastic interest rate cut. The loonie (2 dollars) rose to 1.36cents higher than Monday’s close. Now see who’ve got the real money now.. SUCKERS..!! Muahahahah!!! Back at you..!!

My previous landlord is into the vending machine business. Everywhere you go in town, you see his vending machines. Be it in the school, in the hospital, on the roads, and even in pizzerias. I know he does more than just town business, because I know his workers sometimes drives out of his warehouse as early as 5am in the morning. We know so because our store was just beside his warehouse many years ago, and we had an outdoor security camera there.
And I have to tell you this, my previous landlord is rich..!! so selling those penny candies in those vending machines do make money. Maybe I should tell him about multivend since most of his machine is rather old. With the new Vendstar 3000, a custom fit for each coin mechanism, and updating the total quarters accepted in one’s vending machine, I’ll bet, he won’t be missing any money anymore. This new machine takes less then one minute to install and requires no external power to work it, I’ll bet he would like it.

I definitely have nothing against same sex couples, same sex marriage or same sex anything. Afterall, to each his own right..?? Even if you were a different sex, it doesn’t guarantee that you will have a perfect marriage or like the issue of same sex couple as parents, even if you were different in sex.. does it make the parents perfect..?? I donch think so. Good parenting and good marriage really has nothing to do with the sex of the couple as far as I am concerned.
With a ongoing legal case and a recent human rights complaint, the Nova Scotia government is taking a second look at the law that denies both members of a same sex couple as parents. I hope they do, for it is really wrong to deny them of recognition as parents because they are of the “not approved” communion.

While the world is facing typhoons and other natural disaster and fighting to survive, here in this small town, we see more and more petty crimes.
Broad daylight yesterday, arm robbery of a taxi driver who was robbed knife point..! The cops arrested a 20 yrs old .. Koty Nickerson.. and i know exactly who he is.. coz’ he was a customer at one time. And the kid is not a bad looking kid either.. ! what a shame..! No wonder there was a broad daylight car search right outside our store yesterday.
Life has gotta be more than these petty crimes.. and get arrested.. ??? Wasting away their life .. like this.

When you worked for someone and pretty much got fired, you shouldn’t be telling your new employers to call us for references. As much as we hate to tell the truth about you, surely you cannot expect us to lie for you right?
PB is always very diplomatic about it, and answers those questions of potential employers of our ex-workers as simple and short as possible. Not giving them any bad references but not glorified ones either. As for me, if you bad-mouthed us, that’s the end of you. I had a guy who used to work for us.. but when he left.. he never once said anything bad about us, so even though he was a mediocre worker, when a hotel in Halifax called for reference, I gave him a glorified one .. because how bad can a person get, when he doesn’t tell lies right..?? As for the others… i can’t say the same.
The joys of owning your own business.. and seeing how stupid ppl can get.

Ppl here cannot be trusted..! you give them an inch… they wanna rob you blind. A month a a half ago, a son of PB’s old friend came in to “borrow” a keyboard from our store.. to see if it works on his puter or not. At that time, PB was outta the store.. so seeing that we know this fella .. for a long time.. I said to go ahead and bring it back if it doesn’t work. A month later.. i had almost forgotten about it.. when all of a sudden while doing inventory I remembered.
Our attempt to reach him were futile and when I saw his dad.. and reminded him about it.. he tried to say.. he came in to pay PB already. Of course.. PB stopped him short. His dad said.. he was gonna try and reach him.. but we still haven’t heard from him.
This morning.. i saw his dad . .outside Tim Hortons.. and he said to me.. “Ahhhh..! i think Cory owes you all .. like $15 bucks right..?? In which i replied very curtly .. $25.00.. and walked away. I’m angry.. because he took my kindness and trust in him… in vain.. and thinks i’m a sucker..! One thing for sure.. is .. Cory Comeau.. is never ever getting any favours from this Crazy Chinese Woman.

Many years ago, when HDTV was so popular, we too thought about getting it, luckily we didn’t because it was really too expensive then. Not that we can’t afford it but why pay for something, you know changes in prices every year. True enough, as expected, we saw a drop in prices after waiting for abit. To be honest with you, a TV is a TV .. it doesn’t really make too much of a difference to me, but to the spouse, of course, it’s a whole different thing.
And don’t forget, there is the Plasma HDTV and the LCD Projection HDTV, yes, I know .. all is greek to me, therefore, when the spouse said the hitachi HDTV was the one he was getting, and like any smart woman I look it up at Krillion, for Krillion not only lets me compare prices with other stores, it also tells me at which locality i can purchase the best and the lowest price tvs. So from a online research and then off to get our TV, no need for walking from store to store and comparing prices and bargaining for a deal. Shopping has never been easier these days, and no more worrying about not getting the best deals.

I’m sure by now.. you know it’s a joke .. with this town.. where tourism is concerned. Now they have a meeting planned at the end of the month, to that tourism operators and others can help shape up the future of the tourist industry.
I donch know how this is gonna help the downtown business.. but as far as I can see .. nothing was done for the whole of this year, so what would make this hopeful for us.. for next year.. ??? I, myself .. have lost complete confidence .. in this town. They don’t even hire ppl to sweep the floors outside of our store.. so how well.. are they running this town, is still very much to be desired.
