A New Year’s Wish For All..!!
Looking To Move Again
Yes.. we are looking to move again..! 2 years in this location with power bill that is killing us.. and worst than the previous place that is bigger.. doesn’t seem right to us. Plus we only wanna focus on doing a few dedicated things… instead of a whole bunch of it.
But tied down by a 3 yrs lease.. doesn’t really leave us very much choice.. but to sit it out.. unless we can get someone to take over our lease. I know that PB had been keen on moving to Starrs Road for the longest time. But like everything that is popular and prime.. rents is gonna cost us an arm and a leg. I am not keen about moving.. but honestly, i think the present place does not have good “feng shui” Such a huge arrow pointing directly at our store..!! doesn’t help at all.
People Are Stupid
Some ppl are stupid! I know i’ve said it many times. They come in with a few games, that you can get new for $18 for a pack of 3 from Walmart and expect us to pay them $10 each for the games..! that are “old” in terms of games that had been available since a few years ago, and just because they got it for Christmas .. it is all “new” ..!
So lets say .. i’m stupid too.. and paid $10/game.. so $30 for 3 .. I’ll have to sell them for at least $15/game to make some money. But who in the right frame of mind.. would buy a used game for $15 when they can get 3 for $18. They just donch get the big picture do they..?? and when you try and explained it to them.. they still insist that we are trying to rip them off. *slap forehead*
Wedding Gone Wrong
Several years ago, the man and i attended a wedding of his buddy’s and even though the groom thought that everything went pretty well.. i didn’t think so. Visibly you can see that the bride was edgy .. and all stressed up. The co-ordination wasn’t good at all, they kept the judge who was solemnizing their wedding waiting for like a good half hour.. and the guests were also waiting for a good 45mins. And serving macdonald burger and fries to your guests may be a novelty .. but nope.. it was not what one would want in a wedding reception.
So please, if you are having a wedding, do take your Wedding Planning seriously..!! and do not leave it just to the bride to take care of everything.. and think that you’ve done your part .. just by getting the ring .. and proposing. Looking for wedding party favors, the dress, the right hair do, the right dress, the wedding cards.. and loads more is serious and stressful matters. And no Macdonald’s please..!!
Cold Wheezers Suxs..!
Donch you just hate it.. when a customer who has the cold, comes into your store.. and pass you her germs..?? and not only that.. make funny wheezing cold noises.. and wouldn’t blow their nose..! for a good 30 minutes at least..! it’s awful.. to have to listen to her.. when you are taking your dinner.
I know it can’t be helped when one is sick.. but the wheezing sound..!! i mean.. if it was a kid.. no problems.. but an adult.. and an older one but not old .. old if you know what i mean… for that matter. Aiyoh..!! listening to her.. go on and on.. with her sneezing.. and wheezing..while she chooses her movies.. “alamak” .. really very “kang kou” for her.
Flights Cancelled As Storm Descends

Heaps of snow and plenty of trouble is what is gonna ring in the New Year for us here in Nova Scotia. It’s only 5pm here.. and the sky just turned dark..and it’s really cold outside. We are so not looking forward to strong winds accompanied by snow with reduce visibility, Some parts of Nova Scotia were bracing for rain and freezing rain. Have a safe New Years everyone..!
All About Your Babies/Kids
I swear.. I love my mother-in-law..! she even came over to stay with me.. when I just gave birth to my lil’ brat. It was wonderful and re-assuring for me.. to have someone who have raised to fine young men .. and one is my spouse. How could one go wrong right..?? having a mother-in-law take care of baby and woman who just had a c-section.
Well.. reflecting on it.. it really did calmed me alot .. having my mother-in-law volunteered to come stay with us. I was really fortunate .. and I know so.. but when it comes to why the lil’ brat kept crying non-stopped even after feeding her half an hour ago, my mother-in-law just couldn’t fathomed it. There were some stuff.. that my mother-in-law just didn’t go through herself.. when she had her two boys.

Suxs..!! to have bad weather during New Year’s eve. Expected bad visibility .. and strong winds.. meaning.. more accidents. .and death.. for those out partying. Or for those planning to party. .they won’t be able to do it.. and would have it at their own home.. thus disturbing the neighbors.. and fights in the neighborhood.. and meaning the cops.. would be really, really busy. I’m so not looking forward to the bad weather..!

Accident On Highway
Heartbreaking when you loses someone during the holiday season and especially in a freaky car accident. A customer was in to tell us that one of the business in town.. his wife was in an accident during the early mornings.. a few days ago. I was shocked of course.. because she was just in the store the day before to order some computer parts.
To hear that she was in critical condition .. made me very worried when PB is out driving on his own. This year we saw quite a few accidents and death.. involving customers that we know. Sure.. some we donch quite like them.. but still we would never wish such a tragic accident for anyone.
Drive carefully .. everyone…!! during this winter..! the woman who hit this business owner’s wife died on the spot. And she was on 20 yrs old… tragic..!
Travel Insurance
I’ve often wonder how people can go on vacation and even business trips without travel insurance. Really .. it is crazy.. to be honest! even if you are doing a guided tour thing, one should always get insurance. When you are in business as long as we have been, you kinda see all sorts of customer/s. When someone buys something from us.. and calls a few days later.. to say that the game he bought doesn’t work and freezes on him.. and refuses to let us repair it instead wants to exchange for another game, what does it tell you..??
Sometimes, customer/s thinks we are suckers.. or plain stupid. And I can’t help feeling rather resentful.. when you have customer/s like that. Because all we are trying to do, is to make an honest living. If the customer/s genuinely had a game bought and didn’t work.. the first thing.. he would do is to get us to repair it for him.. and if all else fails, then they would reluctantly ask for another game or pick another game.
I’m a customer to other stores too.. so for any normal person, you wouldn’t do what some customer/s comes in and asked for another game or money back if you were being honest. We know so, because we’ve had too many of “these” kinda customer/s.

Of late we have been having customers that belongs to our competition that went busted because of copyright infringement with Microsoft come in for work to be done and of course the upgrading and buying of new computers and stuff.
Today a customer of theirs came in and asked for work to be done to their computer and true enough.. after a lengthy conversation, the competition gets alot more business than us.. because of the “extra” services and software they provide.
I heard from my babysitter that they might work outta their home.. once the dust settles. But i doubt they would dare fool around with Microsoft stuff anymore. Oh.. btw.. they also burned games for their customers at $10 a pop.. while we are selling ours for $ 65 - $85, no wonder they are so popular.

Yes.. the loonie raised its all time high on Friday.. during closing. I’m abit leery.. and worried what the strong loonie is gonna to do.. to us economically. With so many of us making US dollars.. it is certainly no fun .. to see after the exchange.. we are losing a good few dollars.. on it. It is still an unbelievable thing for me.. to see the loonie higher than the US dollars.. and keeping strong for this long. Has the exchange affected you ..?? let me know.. so we can sob together.
Bhutto’s Death Shocked Me Too

It certainly shocked me.. when I read this, this morning. I donch know the former Prime Minister personally but had the honor of shaking hands with her when she stayed in one of our hotel properties in Asia. Her death is one of the saddest moment of my life… because this quashes hope of many supporters including myself.. that she can bring Pakistan’s fight against the Taliban and al-Qaida militants after the election. I have been following her campaign and her outreach religiously and cannot believe that a suicide bomber got to her.
