Religion?
“A British teacher who was jailed in Sudan for allowing her students to name a teddy bear Muhammad has been released to British authorities. Gillian Gibbons, who received a presidential pardon and will be deported, says she didn’t intend any offence. Some Sudanese demanded her execution for what was perceived as an insult to Islam.”
I have been following the above news . .for a few days now… and of course I was appalled at what ppl would do in the name of God..!! Seriously, I can’t imagine God wanting anyone killed or executed for any reason. And this was a misunderstanding.. that’s for sure.. and seriously I pity Gillian Gibbons..! i’m sure she is now so shocked.. she wouldn’t wanna be near anything or any word related or associated to the word.. “Muslims” .. or “Mohammad”..! and I donch blame her for it.

ive been following this for a while, did you know she was pardoned, no more execution liao! Frank and i was discussing this and we thought its bcause Sudan got no publicity liao, so they want “free publicity” and no need to go work so they march on the streets! its stupid. its not her that choose the name the kid did. What is wrong with naming the teddy mohamad lah? a lot of hispanic kids probably name their teddy, dog or anything they like with the name Jesus (pronounced, hay-sus)
I think those ppl with mohamad in their names but commit crime like rape and murder are more of a disgrace to the prophet than the teddy. its a mild issue they make so big. now everyone going to think the muslim religion is a “joke” not anything sacred anymore liao.
