We have been so busy the last 2 days at the store.. it’s almost crazy..! PB is doing computer work for customers.. like nobody business. Sometimes, you really gotta wonder why business .. cannot be spread out.. like a steady stream eh.

But one cannot complain lah.. when it is busy.. gotta take the money when it does come. It is good for business.. when folks comes back and say they were recommended by a previous customer..you know that you are doing something right.

Last summer.. i saw my mother-in-law in the garden during one visit and of course that is nothing strange seeing them in the garden, but what was surprising was .. she was wearing one of those hospital looking scrub. Folks are really funny around here. They bring in stuff to our store.. and sell them to us.. because they begged and said they really need the money real bad. So taking the risk as to if they were stolen – we lose out, if they don’t sell, we also lose out too, we try to buy it from them.. at a price reasonable to both parties, that way, if we do lose in anyways.. we know that we can afford to absorb the loses (not like we have many choices).

And then a month or so later.. they come back.. and expect to buy the things they sold to us.. for the same price and even tried to convince us that we are the crook for paying so little for it.. in the first place. Yes.. this is what we face constantly. Appalled is the understatement.. for the folks that do that to us.

I supposed they expect us to be a non-profit store.. and eat air in the meantime…?

“An elderly Yarmouth woman was shaken-up but not injured after theives ran off with a Salvation Army kettle. The incident happened yesterday afternoon at the Yarmouth Mall. Police arrested two suspects, a man and a male youth, a short time later. R-C-M-P Constable Hugh Martin says it appears the woman was distracted while the kettle was grabbed. Donations collected in the kettle are used by the Salvation Army to help needy families at Christmas time. The two suspects were released to appear in court in February.”

This was in the local news this morning..! you see what i mean..?? in the mall..!! broad daylight..!! this is happening..?? so you tell me.. what am i to think..?? and do honest folks like us need to fear.. ALOT.. ?? And they are released..?? not in remand..?? How safe are you..?? or your properties..?? or the old ladies in the mall..?? One gotta wonder what is the town councillers view on this..?? Nah.. doubt they would be thinking of helping or doing something about it.. as long as they can get to see in their beautiful new municipality building.. with modern heating.. child care services and a gym.

It really makes me wonder.. ? and you cannot blame me for it.. because.. look at all the stupid things i see.. and experienced in this town.

We had arranged for the carpenter to come fix our french door in our tv room, so that this winter.. we can keep the heat in the tv room when we are using it. Bought the door and all… but he had said he needed to return the door.. because it was wobbly. Fair enough. The next day. .he came at 1pm.. PB had to leave the store.. to go home to watch the house… and again carpenter left with one side of the door.. because he need to shave the top a little .. because it still didn’t fit correctly.

An hour later.. he still wasn’t back. So after supposedly us being in the house from 1 – almost 5pm .. when PB got home.. i only have half a french door put up. 4 FREAKING hours..!! and only half the door up..???? WTF..!!!  Should he have had measured the door properly before changing it the first time..??  How long does it take to shave a little of the door out..?? I give up..!  FRUSTRATING..!!  because customers were coming in left, right and center .. looking for PB.  Arrrghhhh..!!! i swear they only come in.. when he is not in.. and thus making me work..!
