An Intriguing Tale Of Being An Owner

Apparently, the upstairs of our store is being rented out to a group of doctors in the hospital, so that they have a place to pray. Religious purpose is what the landlord had said. Oh.. oh..! do i hear trouble already..??

I swear the doctors here act like they are so high and mighty.. it’s like seeing God.. when you wanna make an appt to see them. And what is driving me crazy now.. is the renovation work.. that is going on..! i am getting such a huge headache.. by all the knocking and stomping..!! Screaming at someone is in order.. no prizes for guessing who at.

For those who are not aware of this, owning your own business in Canada.. you not only have to pay the usual GST and HST .. you also have to pay taxes for your employees. When you hire someone to be your employee, you not only pay the person, for example – $7 per hour .. but you have to take care of their vacation pay which is 4% of what they’ve earned during the week, Canada Pension fund, Unemployment Insurance, Federal taxes and Provincial taxes. Yes… in some instant you pay as much as the employee and others more. So if you think that your employee is only paying you $7/hr . .and it’s low .. think again. Because they have to contribute to all those taxes .. I’ve mentioned.

A customer of ours just went into the wholesale fashion jewelry because she opened her own bridal store with a partner. I’ll have to say it is a good move to open a store in town.. and offering not only the bridal gowns but also accessories to go with wedding. A one-stop bridal stop is definitely a plus to wedding couples.
