A customer of ours love to call PB .. “old son” .. and the man hates it..!! but how to you tell a customer not to call you “old son”..?? And it’s not even like the customer is very old either.. maybe another 20 yrs older than PB. I can see the face the man makes everytime.. that customer comes into our store.. i just have to laugh.
Small businesses like ours tries to stretch our dollar as much as possible and that is because we need to make sure that cash flow is always good, that way we will never be in a fix with a supplier.
Long distance calling and phone calls from state to state can get very expensive, especially if you are doing sales. It’s April now.. and the feeling inside the house is just like winter.. and outside.. well.. like hurricane. The wind is blowing so strongly.. i just hope that PB remembered to bring the sign in from outside the store.. else .. it would surely be blown away or hit a car on the streets. I told you .. we have no spring here.. and if we are lucky.. very lucky.. summer may come in another few months time.
It is extremely hard to do business in this town.. for everyone expects you to trust them.. and give them credit. A customer was in last week and after much discussion with PB .. took (didn’t pay) a 17″ monitor home to test to see if it was his puter that wasn’t working right or the monitor.
A few days later, he came back to say that it was too dark and he wants to change it for a 19″ .. again not paying for it yet. 2 days later, he came in and told PB (i wasn’t around) that his mother got the monitor.. but she is away till next week and he can’t get to the monitor now but his mother already gotten another FREE monitor from somewhere else. So he suggested renting it for 20bucks till his mother returns. *slap forehead* So how to do business like that..??

A teenage customer was in the other night trying to sell some games to PB. Wanted $70 for the works.. when PB told him that he would only pay $25 as they were very old games. He bargained as if he was in Asia.. where the bargaining culture is a norm. And he wanted $7 for one game he had bought from us for $7 that we sold him. I normally don’t say anything.. when it comes to trading and buying stuff.. but i turned around and said this to him.. “Dude..!!!!! we need to eat too you know..!!”
I won’t refused any business.. but sometimes.. i wonder. A guy came in today… all excited.. because he saw something he has gotta buy. He calculated his pay for this week.. and it was about $80+ and if he bought that gadget.. he would be left with only $30 or a little bit more. Well.. he did get it.. but here i am wondering.. how would he be surviving for the next 2 weeks.. before the next pay check..??
I hear from some ppl that the competition who got shut down by Microsoft for copyright infringement is again .. running business at their home.. and another at a location.. in town. I was kinda surprised.. because I thought it was in Microsoft’s agreement . .that they cannot do this kinda business anymore..?? So does it mean that it’s just a slap on their hands.. and nothing more..?? Jeezeeee..!!
I have no idea why customers when coming into the store do not think there is a need to close the door behind them…?? Knowing that it is so cold outside at this time of the year, they just leave the door open . .and walked right in. Even after the husband told the wife about the door, she just walked right in.. without any intention to go close the door…!! It’s terrible.. because we are paying for the heat doesn’t means that you don’t have to care right..?? Ppl like this . .makes me wonder what their upbringing must be like..?? even my 4 yrs old brat knows how to close the door behind her. Shame on these customers.
