Sunday Shopping
We used to do good on Sunday at the store.. because it was only recently that the big boys are allowed to be opened on Sundays. That was the law here in Nova Scotia, strange as it might sound, as a consumer, i would want everything to be opened .. but as a small business owner, I say no.
Yes, this Sunday shopping affected us so much, we decided a year ago, to close on Sundays instead of wasting manpower and electricity. Having said that, we also have problems getting ppl to work on Sundays. When we hire them, we do tell them about working the weekends but a month or so into work, they would have all sorts of excuses not to work on the weekends and in the end, the man and I had to work instead, so it really defeats the purpose of hiring someone to work during the weekends.

same here; used to be no shops open on weekends so it was boring. now all shops open on weekends more fun for consumers but for retail workers so sien! i know coz i used to work weekends also, its like prison!
