Taxi Drivers
I had to hail a taxi this morning.. to go for my doctor’s appt because it was way too early to wake the brat up .. and bundle her up to go to the hospital with me. I wasn’t really in the mood for chatting since i never was a morning person but of all the people i’ve met in my store.. this older lady.. who was driving me to the hospital.. started to tell me about the ridiculous amount of money the town was spending on building those “new offices” .. while the rest of the town.. didn’t really have an opinion.
I fear for our future .. because everyone is so complacent.. and let the town do whatever they want… except for this taxi driver. Businesses are closing down.. right, left and center.. but what is the town doing..?? Surely, these are honest businesses and honest ppl trying to make a living. Surely, they deserved a helping hand..?? Or maybe we should all turn into taxi drivers…?? But that has gotta be hard too.. for gas just went up again.
