The Fate Of The Yarc
The Yarc is an art center here in this small town and has been around for a long time. A meeting was called so that the town and its ppl can decide on where the new facility should be. For of small town of an 8,000 population, many questioned the 8 million dollar price tag for this new facility. Afterall, we are not hosting Phantom of the Opera or Vanessa Mae’s violin concert anytime soon.
Now what amuses me .. were the amount of ppl who turned up .. 300 ..!! and when the town councils wanted to build that new municipality building for $6 million.. not many ppl even knew about it .. till it was over and done with. Now the town councils wants to keep the Yarc downtown or at the waterfront I heard. But what’s the purpose..?? to keep the tourists coming..?? Why would some tourists come to Y-town for a small production of that The Yarc directs..?? I donch comprehend it at all. But this is Yarmouth eh..!
