An Intriguing Tale Of Being An Owner

Here we thought we won’t have to put anymore oil into the store’s furnace no more for the year .. and guess what..?? we had bad weather again. So the man called the oil man.. and told him.. “it’s not for me.. it’s for the women folks”! Yes.. yes.. i’m a wuss..!! but can you blame me.. ?? someone who comes from a place that is summer everyday. Someone who can’t get enough of the air-con.

What a huge change .. everyone who comes into the store asked me. Oh .. initially they think i come from China.. muahhahahahahhaahha!!! and when i tell them that China, Beijing is 7 – 8hrs away from where i am from originally.. they then understand it a little better. Even though my customers all thinks that I should be Canadianized by now.. since i’ve been here for 8 yrs.. i still cannot help but missed those sunny days at work and where one would be thought crazy to wear stockings to work.

Every day during a certain time of the day, the sun would come thru’ a certain window at the store and shine directly into my eyes where i am sitting doing my work. The man would quickly try and get a huge box .. to block the sun.. but as you all know.. . it is not the ultimate solution. We thought about getting some window blinds for that window but it is so high up near the ceiling. I think we have to talk to the landlord and see if he would send his man down to put the blinds up for us and we will provide the blinds.
