Register.Com is one of the biggest employers in our town. Yesterday we heard on local radio that it is planning a big expansion .. doubling their current employees in a few more years. At this moment… as I write this.. there are 250 people working full time for them. They also planned to open an office in Halifax area but the government had also stepped in to bait them of course with a huge payroll rebate of nearly 5 million dollars and another 1.05 million for recruiting and training. As compared to other province in Canada .. this town is paid the lowest minimum wage of $8.00. What can I expect ..?? i just hope the town will do well.. for the turnover of businesses .. if continued, would not settle in nicely for the expansion.
