We don’t usually open store on Sundays.. but because it’s Christmas .. we will be starting to open on Sundays too.  When Easterly Showers Falls On The Sunny West Episode 25 is ready to be downloaded.. and although we are not opened today.. i can’t watch it yet.. because we are preparing for my brat’s birthday today.  Her official day of birthday is 19th December.  But every year.. because it is so near to Christmas.. we end up not doing anything.  This year.. i told myself.. i am not gonna be hit by a winter storm like last year.. nor are we gonna miss it because of work.  Work and money is important.. but this is my miracle you are talking about.  If without this miracle.. i won’t have such a cute and adorable daughter.  So i decided last year.. that her birthday party and celebration will be earlier .. and we won’t run into the same problem. .as crashing with Christmas.. and the store hours… and of course the winter storm.

I don’t know how many times.. we have to tell people that we are not a pawn shop. They would come in with all sorts of things.. and try to pawn it to us.. even engagement rings .  Even when we politely tell them we are not a pawn shop.. they insist that we should take just about everything.. because we resell stuff. Then they would huff and puff and leave. What else can one say right..?? if you get a customer like that..??

Gem Of Life Episode 28, I will be downloading it from work and I know you are all waiting to watch it.  So was I .. so i can understand.. how you feel.  But trust me.. as soon as I see it online.. Roll up, flexible and rubber keyboard for the fishes .. Oops..!! i mean the boat and the fishermen of this town.  Actually they are great for those who has cats who pisses on their keyboards. Muahahhaah!! but so true.  I did have customer who came in with a bad laptop because the cat pissed on her laptop .. and fried it. I do love it..  but it can feel funny at first.. if you are not use to this kinda keyboard.

The first time i encountered with a  Sony Vaio was an advertisement i saw on local tv with Zoe Tay (local actress) from back home, telling us how good it was.. when she was working on her modeling assignments abroad.  What intrigue me most even till now is Sony Vaio’s in built camera.. some 15 yrs ago.. because no one had that on their laptops yet.  But of course, my cheap Acer has this feature too.  But the Sony Vaio is really sleek looking.. and i definitely feel it was built for a lady in mind.

As a game store in town.. everyone thinks that we make great money selling and buying used xbox 360 games and the rest of the console games.  Truth be told.. we don’t make as much as people would like to think.  Why..?? because even though there are some that we buy cheap.. what about those that never sell..??  folks of course do not see the big picture.. and think that someone else absorbed the loses.. but they are so wrong.  A long time ago, an ex-employee insisted that we need not pay for our car.. because it is company’s car  *slap forehead* !  Yup..!! the joy of owning your own business.

This is for my blogging buddy’s hubby … Andy for being such a wonderful hubby .. to my g/f, Barb..!! and to me of course.. for mailing out the good food from home all the way to Canada.  These are the games .. he might be interested in.

When Barb’s hubby had asked about used PS3 games.. i had told her that there might be a region problem.. with buying them from Canada.. and but he kindly informed me that .. it was region free… hahahhahaa!! now how silly i looked right..?? since we own a game store. .and all.  Oh well.. !! now at least i know.

We have like a few thousand games in all in our store for sale.. new and used ones.. and of course the used ones are definitely cheaper than the new ones.. and we warranty all our games.  Should it not work for any reason.. bring in your receipt.. and we will exchange or replace another of the same price for you.

And for those who don’t have their receipt.. i’m sure we can do something for you too.  Just play nice.. and we will too.  And never accuse us of selling you burned games.. because i will jump over the counter and smack you on the head.. because we WILL NEVER SELL BURNT GAMES. PERIOD.

Golfing is now made more pleasurable by hiring a Female Caddy Service when on a business trip or entertaining business clients.  Why not?  Pleasing to the eyes and definitely pleasing to the clients and it’s always good to have someone else arrange for the food and beverage orders.  They keep the scorecards for you and do all the stuff that a male caddy can do, and they’re more pleasing to the eye. They can make my life as the wife a lot easier too, I don’t have to be the errand gal while the man talks business.  The female caddies are knowledgeable of the game as well and I can pick up a tip or two from them while we are playing at some of those Las Vegas Golf Courses and Royal Links Golf Course.

So i just watched the webcast on Matt Cutts description on the changes on Google for 2009.  Is it true that the advertisers are gonna not care so much for PR ..??  and go for the relevants of a blog or the traffic..??  But one thing i have to agree with him is the “black hat” SEO .. they are really, really evil.  I can write something on any of my blogs.. and post it up for less than 3 mins.. and it’s already appearing somewhere else.  Donch matter what i wrote.  *sigh*!  Well.. for those interested in hearing Lord Google’s representative say something.. follow the link above.

It gets really cold here in Canada.. and one place i would loved to go for a vacation if we could close for Christmas is to be in Las Vegas.  Sure it is cold there too.. but nothing beats the lights and all the cool stuff you can do in Vegas.  Of course, I would never missed the Las Vegas Shows and there are just too much to choose from.

Ahhh..!! that time of the year again.. as you can see.  We started late with the decoration.. because we really didn’t wanna rush and put stress on the employees.  If we get it done.. we get it done.. no biggie.  Afterall, donch wanna be accused by the employees of stressing them out eh.

Of course, Homer has to be around to greet our customers right. This year .. we are trying not to put too many decorations .. and to keep it simple… afterall, some customers don’t even see the deco.. they just want their games and movies.

See the stars and the ornaments.. we have bigger ones.. but they are sitting on the floor.

Owning a computer store like we do, we get many customers who would call or come in for help because they had forgotten the password for their Windows program or even stuff they do on their excel spreadsheet.  It is understandable because we use different passwords for different purposes and you don’t want to mix them up with your personal ones.

We try our best not to reformat the customer’s computer if possible because then they lose everything in the computer and they have to pay a lot for the time we take to reformat and that’s not really the way we do our business.  Recently we found a way to recovery these passwords for our customers at the store and even those that lost their excel passwords on spreadsheet files, like an accounting firm in town.  The secret is using an Excel password recovery program.  It’s truly not difficult to use and is definitely affordable especially for companies that deal with a lot of spreadsheets, check it out.
