Mega Virus On 1 Day Old Computer
Monday, December 1st, 2008On Saturday .. we had a customer come in with her 1 day old computer.. that she had bought elsewhere.. because of a special plan offered by the phone company. In it, there were like 100s of viruses.. as soon as we had it up and running.
We charged the customer $40 for working on it.. cleaning it up.. and putting on new anti-virus software and all.. and felt really bad for her.. because had she bought it from us.. she wouldn’t have this problem.. because we would have put in the firewall stuff for her. But having said that.. we can understand why she bought it from the phone company ..for they finance it for her.. without any hassle. Wherelse, being a small store like ours.. we can do the financing or offer it. *sigh* And it’s a darn good thing … we don’t charge so much.
