An Intriguing Tale Of Being An Owner

We have been having some crooks in the store of late .. and these are the ppl who would rent our movies or games.. for $3 and never brought it back.  Calling them did not bring us any closer to getting our property back .. yet there is nothing we can do about it.. because according to the darn law here.. they did pay to rent it.. and not returning them is not against the law.  Sleepness night we are not getting because we have a sleep number bed but why should we always be the one losing money.  So we finally put up the Most Wanted List to shame them.. with their name and amount they owe us.. and telling everyone that they ripped us off.

Hallelujah..!! more loans for the fishermen..!!!  NOT..!!! the government is willing to bend backwards, forward .. and sideways.. and will not hesitate to give money to fishermen.. and i have no problem with it.  But what about young entrepreneurs like us..?? who was there to help us when we first opened our store..?? no bank would entertain us.. even the CBDC .. who professes that they helped small business to expand.. didn’t even wanna help us.  GREAT JOBS GUYS..!!!

The lesson to be learned here.. is to bring your computer for some cleaning every year .. and it will only cost you as little as $20.  Dust bunnies like these are not uncommon in our store.  We get to see computers coming in like this.  How not to overheat. .and for things not to work properly right..??

But it is computer like this.. that makes us the business.. we had like 6 computers coming in all in one day… and most needed cleaning.

We get kids come into our store all the time.  Some are so well behaved . .while others.. are just plain rude and ignorant.  One kid who had been in every day.. asked me if i had any money to give him..?? what kinda question is that..?? a 10 – 12 yrs old kid.. who is as normal as daylight.. asking such a question. .and calling me weird.. when i told him that i was gonna kid him out.. after being funny with me.  A very undesirable place to bring up one’s kid..?? i fear .. seriously..!! what kinda friends is my daughter gonna make..??

Owning your own business, you get your ups and downs.  And xmas cards like this one sure brightened our holiday season.  So thoughtful of our customer.. we were pretty touched.. and this was unexpected.. from this particular customer.

We get presents all the time from our regular customers.. but card like this one.. is priceless.

A kid was in today.. and he had been a regular customer for a few years now.  At 19, i was curious as to why he doesn’t have a part time job, in which he replied.. that there are not many places he wants to work in..  and that there are some places.. he didn’t think was good enough .. or they were bad.  I was kinda amused.. because .. if one can choose the job.. so can the jobs choose them right..??  I can’t remember myself doing that .. when i was a kid.  I was happy if anyone would hire me.  And even though we are going on a summer vacation .. maybe in  rv camping we ain’t hiring.  So it would be tough for anyone to think they can get a job with us.  Afterall, the bad experiences that we have had.. no way are we going to hire anyone else – freak that..!!

So yes.. i hear the planes flying regularly when i am driving somewhere around town.  I heard they had a soft launch the other day.. and guess who were invited for the flight..?? the town councils.. and some other “important” people.  But how come .. none of us were invited..?? ain’t we taxpayers too..??

Like always .. the town is still full of old boys.. and refuses to give us the change that we had elected for.  4 yrs .. of service to this town.. was what they were voted for..  and who are they looking out for so far..?? themselves.. as far as i can see.   Yup that’s the small plane for the town of Yarmouth.. yet they need to spend $15K to send 5 town councils.. for a “meeting” in Whistler, Vancouver.

So we bought some supposedly stolen system and games a few weeks ago.  Of course, we didn’t know about it .. till we bought it.. otherwise, why would we take the risk right..??  Some people are so dim wit.. and thinks that we buy stolen stuff even though we know it.  Are you crazy…???!!!?  Anyhow.. this supposedly stolen stuff is still sitting here.. even though we’ve made several attempts to call the owner.. and he was supposedly to come and get it back .. a few weeks ago.  So now i sit here wondering.. was it a scam on the “supposedly” owner part..??  Over here in this town.. you reallly cannot believe anyone i guess.

Yes..! we did a new sign with L & N signs.. since the competition opened in the mall.. and had been quite busy as far as we can tell.  But that doesn’t mean that we haven’t been busy.  We have been holding steady traffic here too.  But we wanted to let the people know that .. we donch only do trade.. but we give you cash back too..!! now that’s one thing the competition donch do.  So yes.. the new sign looked great.. !!! and yes..  it did draw in some good attention.  Now with so many people coming in to sell stuff for the last few weeks..  we can only hope for after the 20th.. that we can start making some money in return.

So the Yarmouth detachment looking for more experienced cops.. we heard a few days ago.  And yes.. we met at least one today.  Like always they are very polite.. and nice.. and i’m pretty sure he’s efficient enough.  They all have experiences .. but very little according to the newspaper or radio station.  Now should we start to worry..??  Hmmm..   !

3 yrs ago.. when we were at a bigger store.. i had asked my landlord for Window Blinds .. because the old ones.. was horrid and dirty looking.  He had asked us to go ahead and get it .. and he would pay for it.. but up till today.. there was absolutely no mention of it.  I told you i missed my old landlord right..?? the window blinds wouldn’t have cost him a lot of money.. yet he didn’t really make it right for us.  Oh well.. there are good landlords and the other kind.

Yes…!!  local business should shop locally as much as possible.. to help the downtown businesses, donch you think..??  as much as possible.. we buy from down town.. we even get our medication .. and discount supplements from our local stores.. instead of supporting places like Walmart.   Why..?? because if we donch support the small businesses … who is gonna to right..?? it begins with me.. and you.  If you want downtown to survive.. support the local businesses.. and not the BIG BOYS..!

When you own your own business, you can’t just barged into a store.. and shout out your discontent… as much as we would like to.  9 yrs in Canada.. and helping out with the spouse’s business also made me aware of the position i am in.. and that if i were to act wrongly, it may cause us our business as well.  Unlike when I was working for someone.. and my boss would do the mending of fences.. when i am being brutal .. and rude.

When i used to work for someone, my bosses would let me think that I’m always right.. for instant the farmhouse sinks that we had seen when traveling together.  I had argued that they weren’t for commercial uses .. but more personal .. while my big boss said otherwise – but he let me win. .. later to find out that he wasn’t wrong either.  Being my own boss and owning our own business .. made me wished i wasn’t so argumentative .. when i was working for someone.. and learn to appreciate.

online casino netSince I can’t get the money plant that i want outta my landlord .. i decided to mentality torture him.. by hounding him.. everytime.. i meet up with him.  Whether .. it is at the grocery store.. or on the street.. each time i see him.. i would ask him for my money tree .. muahahahah!!!  Yes.. ! i’m good at getting what i want.. as you can see.

After being here for 9 yrs.. living in Canada.. i’ve ppl still calling me names.  Not in my face of course.. but on comments left on the store’s website.  It is strange why ppl don’t have the guts to do it in my face.. i’m guessing they are just chicken .. with lots of chicken shit..?? muahahhhahaha!!!  It’s a good thing that i’m a legal resident here.. and won’t take no nonsense anymore from these idiots.  Anyoine who cannot respect another culture or race are idiots.
