The Councils Needs To Be In Sync
This morning I heard on the local news that the report for the land for the proposed Art Center in the center of town is back. Even though the test results show petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil at some location – the mayor and some of the councilors are apparently going ahead with their plans of having another Art Center. I think the councils need hemorrhoids relief ! why? because they are not in sync with each other. Like what we chinese say – they are like scattered sand – and what is going to happen is a project that is either half – hearted or done with so much hatred.
This town is too small to have 2 Art Center – yes – we would like to see it downtown but we know that the Colin Street location is the wrong one – why can’t the councils and the mayor sees it..?? These are money that we don’t have in this town – wouldn’t this money be more used appropriately? How come the town never helped small businesses like us? Some 8 yrs ago, while we were trying to expand – the CBDC whom we approached refuses to help us because they said we are bankable. If we are bankable - did they really think we would go to them. The CBDC is chaired by some elite members of this town – i hate to say it but the town councils are going to waste more money – whose money – not theirs of course – they belong to the town – they belong to the people who are paying taxes. I really don’t know what to think of this town anymore – not good for one’s health – that’s for sure.
