The First

Yes.. the first that we got outta the house so early.. we were able to get the new movies before going to work.. and opening shop on time… hahahah!! and donch get us wrong.. we are not lazy buggers.. we just have a kid who wouldn’t sleep till midnite.. and if we are unlucky .. 1 am. But last nite.. she slept the whole nite.. and we got up early.. so we were able to pack and leave immediately.

Holy Moly! The Pizza Place Is Gone !!

Oh boy..!! you wouldn’t believe it.. but yes.. we drove by the pizza place in town. .and it was gone. On the door it said.. tenant was locked out . .because rent wasn’t paid. Wierd..!! Seriously, i can’t see that happening.. because we do know the owners .. and they are decent ppl, i guess we just have to hear it from the horse’s mouth .. the next time we see them. Seeing them closed down this way .. is making me darn worried. I really wonder what the real reason is… because they only just acquired this business like 6 months ago.. 8 months top.

Close The Darn Door, Please..!

Male customer comes in with a stroller and a baby inside. Open the store’s door .. and left it open.. and slowly strolled himself and the baby into the store. Mind you.. it is still very Winter here.. and very cold outside. With the door wide open.. the cold air coming in and the hot air going out.. it sure doesn’t work well with us.

So I raised my voice. .and asked nicely.. “Can someone close the door for me..?” .. in which male customer with stroller and baby continued walking towards the counter looking at movies.. and ignored me. My brat.. who was having her lunch.. stood up.. and went to shut the door.. MY 4 YEARS OLD KID.. !!!!!! And guess what my kid said.. “Yer’re supposed to closed the door!” and stared at the male customer with a stroller and baby. Muahahahahahhahaha!!!! Maluration lah.. for that customer..! Ppl got no common sense ka.. ??

All About Your Babies/Kids

I swear.. I love my mother-in-law..! she even came over to stay with me.. when I just gave birth to my lil’ brat. It was wonderful and re-assuring for me.. to have someone who have raised to fine young men .. and one is my spouse. How could one go wrong right..?? having a mother-in-law take care of baby and woman who just had a c-section.

Well.. reflecting on it.. it really did calmed me alot .. having my mother-in-law volunteered to come stay with us. I was really fortunate .. and I know so.. but when it comes to why the lil’ brat kept crying non-stopped even after feeding her half an hour ago, my mother-in-law just couldn’t fathomed it. There were some stuff.. that my mother-in-law just didn’t go through herself.. when she had her two boys.

Looks like the weather may just prevent party goers to come for the Chloe’s party. What a bummer. Well.. we have to just hope for the best.. and prepare for the worst i guess. Lets hope it doesn’t get too nasty out there.. tomorrow… else there won’t be too many ppl around on the streets.  Given freezing rain and all.. i highly doubt it is gonna be a good sight.

No Grammie’s Today

Grammie and Grampie have been invited for Rappie Pie at Uncle Garth’s place.. this evening.. so they won’t be home when we visit. Nope.. we weren’t invited.. i guess it’s the older folks thing.. muahahhaha!!

We only got to know about it .. late last nite.. so we won’t be able to switch timing.. and go early to Grammie’s for lunch instead.. as we already had plans.. and everyone knows.. chloe doesn’t sleep good at nite.. so we dare not promised to be there for lunch. So this Sunday will be only family time for 3 of us.. and some grocery shopping later.. I hope everyone is having a good sunday.

 

“Hong Lou Powt”

I was feeding Chloe with dinner tonite…and after watching a muppet show.. i decided.. i wanted to watch my chinese show. But knowing she would protest.. i told her it wasn’t chinese show.

And her reply..?? “Yes .. it is.. !! it’s ” hong lou powt” .. carrot in chinese.. which i’ve been teaching her.. last week. Muahhahahha!!! She is pretty sharp alright..!

Not Book Smart

PB and i confirmed that the lil’ brat of ours.. is street smart but not book smart at all. She can repeat whatever you’ve said.. and remembers it for days.. but she wouldn’t say her 1,2,3 .. or ABCs.

She knows exactly what you are telling her.. and replies smartly .. but refuses to sit and read a book or even have us read a book to her. The longest she ever sat thru’ a reading was like 10mins.. max..!

And really it’s not even that we are lazy.. we try.. and try and coax her.. even by bribing her.. with smarties.. but nope.. she refuses to say .. 1,2,3,4,5. She would say.. only 1, 2, 3, 5, 17, 18 and the strange thing is .. we never taught her 17s and 18s .. so where did she get that from..?? And she is able to count in spanish.. because i caught her repeating after Dora the cartoon.

She remembers to fix her pockets properly.. because “gary is gonna give her money, to be put in her pocket”. See what i mean by being street smart..?? Should we be getting worried..?? oh-oh..!!

Diaperless Unsuccessful Mission

 

Yes.. we decided to try no diapers for chloe tonite.. hoping for the best.. and prepared for the worst. In the mornings.. it is of no problem.. she never ever peed in her pants.

At 4am.. this morning.. because it started to rain.. i went into chloe’s room to check the heater.. and then i saw that her blankie was all over the place.. and she was half hanging on the bed… with her legs out.

I had just wanted to straighten the blankie.. and found out that the girl had indeed peed in her pants.. and bed and blankie.. and continued sleeping..!! Alamak..!! really take my hats off to this girl. Anyhow..i woke her up.. and changed her.. brought her to the puter room..and gave her some milky.. and she went back to sleep. I then went to change the sheets.. and put everything into the laundry.

Oh well.. only first nite.. ! will try again tomorrow.

Money for Piggy

Customer was in on Friday.. long time customer/friend.. Sherry came in today to pick up her movie (the desperate housewives series) .. and .. gave the lil’ brat $20 bucks.. for her piggy bank. This is not the first time.. that Sherry is giving money to my brat.

Sherry is the other person… who gives money to chloe besides Gary and they never ever mentioned things like paying for her college fund .. like some customers do.. when they are paying their lates. My chloe is so blessed.. and lucky .. to have ppl give her money for absolutely no reason eh..?? And of course.. we have generous customers/friends who has never demanded anything special from us.

Chloe would have more money in her piggy bank.. if not for one of our ex-worker stealing from her piggy bank.. when we were moving from the old location to the new. And i tell ya.. it was quite a fair bit of money that the person stole. I hope that the person will get diarrhea every now and then.. for the deed she has done. Stealing from a less than 2 yrs old kid.. is terrible, donch you think..?? I think that’s the lowest one can go.

Chrisome Soldire

On Christmas.. Keegan gave chloe a Webkinz .. and we only knew about it yesterday. Yup..!! we are lousy parents.. muahahahahha!! It was in Chloe’s wardrobe all this time.. like most of her stuff.. that we didn’t open.. because she had far too much presents.. during her birthday .. and christmas.

Anyhow.. she finally got to play with her adopted doggie.. and when PB asked her what she wanted to call her doggie.. she said.. “chrisome soldier” ..! I suggested charlie.. but she had said no..! So Chrisome soldier it is.. !! Chrisome soldier is supposed to be a girl .. and a St Bernard adopted on 05th July 2007.

Demanding She Is

We didn’t go Grammie’s house last week.. because PB and Chloe started to come down with a cold. So we all stayed home.. just in case .. so we donch pass anything to Grammie and Grampie.. because this is the time.. whereby they are the most busiest.

From yesterday.. the brat had been going non-stop.. about going to Grammie’s house.. and bring her soup to eat at Grammie’s. Today.. she kept saying.. she wanted to go Grammie’s house.. and didn’t wanna go to the store.. she would rather go Grammie’s house.

She was very excited.. and knew exactly which road to turn after the highway.. to reach her Grammie’s house. And as per usual.. she had a ball.

Crook R’ Us

 

When you have a toddler.. you know for sure.. you have to have alot of tricks up your sleeves for any kinda of situation.

Chloe had hives this morning.. but she refused to drink her allergy medication.. and we couldn’t let her have another bottle of milk.. because that was all she had .. the whole nite.. with her cold and cough medication. No matter what we promised.. or threatened.. she just wouldn’t have anything to do with her allergy medication.

So what do sneaky parents like us do..??? We gave her some chips.. and pepsi.. and guess what was in the pepsi..?? Kekekkekeke!! yup.. no prizes for guessing.. hahha!! she finished her pepsi.. but was a wee bit skeptical that we were giving her pepsi.. because we rarely do it. But she watched her Toopee and Binoo .. and had her pepsi.. but didn’t finished her chips.. since it wasn’t the one she liked.

“I’m mad now!” .. is another one.. if a customer blocks her way.. while she is riding her bike.

“OK .. Mum..!!” when she wants to do something naughty.

“I’m gonna be VERRRY careful .. Mom..!” when she is climbing onto something high that she isn’t supposed to.

Donch Say Tat, Mummy..!

We were getting ready to get outta the house this morning.. to go to the store.. and i had gone into the bedroom to get changed. And then i went “Ahhhhhhh..!!” screaming like..! because the bed wasn’t made.. ! ya.. i am anal that way.

So i said.. “lousy papa” ..!! i even told chloe to say.. “lousy papa” .. and chloe said.. to me.. “donch say that.. mummy..!” “that’s not very nice..!” .. hahahhah!!

Papa’s defender.. ?? Ya.. she can be sweet like that.. but at times.. arrrrghhh..!! she is just beyond reasoning.

Failure Mummy Is My Name

Yah..!! i’m talking about ME.. yours truly..!! Yup.. ! i’m very sure..!! Every morning.. PB would wake up with the brat.. and give her milky.. feed her breakfast.. and sometimes.. already changed her poopie.. and outta her PJs .. and all… and i sleep till 11am.. sometimes earlier.. if i had to cook for the brat.. for lunch.. or need to take a shower.. before going to the store. But you get the idea.. PB does the morning thingie with Chloe.. waking up sometimes.. as early as 7am.

Today.. again .. the brat woke up at 7am.. and PB woke up with her first.. and when she woke up at 9am.. she looked for me.. so i woke up with her.. hoping to give PB a chance to sleep in .. at least once every couple of weeks.. lah..! You know lah.. ! gotta be kind right..?? hahaha!! Well.. ! as soon as the brat had her milky.. she wanted her waffles.. like NOW..!! ok.. so i did the waffle for her.. and all.. and then started feeding her.. and all.

Next she wanted .. to get outta her high chair.. so she can change into her regular clothings.. and then come back to eat. I said .. “no” .. and guess what.. !! she started screaming and crying..!! And cried she did.. !! big tears.. and screaming.. to WAKE HER PAPA UP..!!! OMG..!!!! I tried to ignore her.. but since she insist on waking her Papa up.. i slapped her on her hand..!! and let her down.. from her high chair. But of course .. not without losing it myself. Yup.. with all the screaming.. from both me and Chloe… PB woke up lah.. of course..! and then kenna spanked some more from PB.

Yup..! what a complete failure right..?? cannot even keep the brat in line.. just for one morning!! After PB woke up and all.. she quieten down.. and didn’t fuss about a change of clothes.. or anything.. because PB said.. to the brat. “We never changed your PJs before breakfast..??” …”why do you always do this to mummy..?? ” Yah.. complete failure.. “hang head down”.

I Need To..!!

 

The brat is very smart.. !! we donch know where she learned it from.. but if she is caught doing something .. she isn’t supposed to do… and you asked her .. why she is doing such.. her answer would be a matter-of-factly.. “I need to..!!”

If she wants something.. and you ask her why.. do you want it..?? her answer would be .. “I need to..!!” I think it is really amusing to us.. because of the way she says it.. “I need TO..! like she can just justify .. whatever .. with .. “I need to” .. and that should be good enough answer for mummy and daddy. Take it or leave it.

Sometimes.. i cannot helped but thank God.. that our child is as smart as any ordinary kid from the hood… and to be really honest.. we didn’t really forced her to learn anything.. or do anything.. or remotely pushed her. Sure we did tell Keegan to read to her.. or do her ABCs.. and sing to her .. and stuff.. but that was as far as it went. As soon as the brat started talking legibly.. i didn’t worry no more.

For all those mothers to be .. or mothers with younger kids.. i just want you to know.. that all kids are different.. do not compare your kid .. with your neighbour’s kid.. or your sister’s kid.. they will do what they want to do.. when they are ready. No need to worry .. like i did with Chloe.. worrying .. that she doesn’t wanna eat.. worry .. she doesn’t wanna talk.. worry.. she doesn’t wanna do this or that.. because Chloe is coming along nicely.. ! sure she can be quite eccentric at times.. but all in all .. she is a healthy kid.. and she reached her milestones.. as and when she decides.. it’s time. I wished i had relaxed more.. and not fret too much.

A Better Day

Today was a better day for me.. and Chloe..
I got to sleep in.. on the guest room bed.. when Chloe woke up in the morning.. while my spouse got up and looked after chloe..
And chloe ate all her food.. although she was still eating like tweety bird.
But she is not sleeping good tonite.. and tossed and turned quite a few times.. and even woken up at about 11.40pm.. and had to be fed again.. and pat for a long time.. before she would go back to bed. So da-da didn’t get to play much today.
Things are going well at the store.. with our new employee.. Lisa.. so we are pretty happy.
Hope our trip to Halifax next week.. would be a good one. I’m looking forward to relaxing during the 3 days we are gonna be there.. but i have a dental appt.. and an health check up for immigration. Suxs..!! But i wanna try eating all the food.. i didn’t get to eat.. when i was carrying chloe.. namely.. sashimi..!! Dharma Sushi here i come.. !!

Ex-babysitter

Chloe’s ex-babysitter came to visit at the store yesterday.. and Chloe just took to her immediately.. !!! Baffled i am .. because Chloe hasn’t seen her for almost 3 weeks now..!!! I’m happy for Chloe that she can remember her of course.. because I don’t want Chloe to forget her either.. and when Chloe grow older.. i will certainly let Chloe know that she helped babysat her .. when she was an infant. When i told Mr C that she was in and chloe took to her immediately .. Mr C said.. she had her horns filed and hidden well.. hahah!! it was funny..!! Now that made me wonder once again.. but like i said.. i can’t take any chances with my daughter.. and i don’t wanna be one of those mom.. that regrets in the end.. and say.. why didn’t i do this.. or that.. because with Chloe i cannot afford any kinda mistake.. she is too precious .. to me. So yes.. i still stick by my decision.. that looking after Chloe on my own is still the best.
